Previously known as the book-a-rama Awards, Chrisbookarama Awards ©2010 are a collection of the best (and worst) books I’ve read in the last year. This is the fourth year I’ve done…
Vixen by Jillian Larkin: Review →
Speakeasies, jazz, and booze. Cool cats, Vixen is like 90210 (the original) if it were set in the 1920s: kids with too much money, loose morals, and a penchant for getting into trouble.
Post Christmas/ Pre New Year Thoughts →
So I was going to write a couple of reviews but I’m suffering from Christmas brain. I would rather just ramble about my New Years Blog/Reading resolutions.
First off, if you’ve noticed, I changed…
Bonjour, Friends!

I did not get books but I can’t complain because I have tons to read.
We’re just hanging out here at home. The hubs is playing the Donkey Kong game I bought him while I sip Bailey’s and play on the computer. It’s a mellow...
What's up?
Not a big deal but I couldn’t get to my Tumblr dashboard for 2 days. What’s up with that? In other news, I started reading Vixen by Jillian Larkin, a flapper book. I wish the flapper look was in again- I love the hats.
I also downloaded Ice Land by Betsy Tobin from the library on audiobook. It’s not bad so far but there are so many characters, I don’t know what is going on...

What she said!!!
bookalicious:
Dear Hillary Kelly,
Thank you for your article. I was unaware as someone who has read the Dickens Canon and loved it that without proper guidelines from a teacher or a professor I most unwittingly did it wrong. That I am an idiot who cannot understand the old language and innuendos of Dickens writing and it is all Oprah’s fault.
You see normally I stray away...
An Orange from Portugal (Anthology) Anne Simpson:... →
I don’t know how many times I’ve seen An Orange from Portugal: Christmas Stories from the Maritimes and Newfoundland at the bookstore and thought, “I’d really like to read that.”…
Review: An Orange From Portugal →
My latest blog post, a review of a book of Christmas stories.
I caught the end of Mariah Carey’s Christmas Special last night while waiting for Castle to start. I thought I was watching the movie Bill Murray produced in Scrooged. Giant snowman. Check. Dancers. Check. Inappropriate Christmas attire. Check. No antlers stapled to mice though, that I saw anyway. I wonder if Mary Lou Retton played Tiny Tim.
May you always have walls for the winds, a roof for the rain, tea beside the...
